Who Are We?

We are a family run business, husband John, (technical) and wife Gwyneth, finance and keeping John’s feet on the ground. We have been involve in a range of musical activities ranging from playing guitar, (in the style of The Shadows), recording music and repairing guitar amplifiers, effects units and keyboards.

John was apprenticed trained way back in the early 60’s and has been involved in electronics all his life, working in the service industry (Radio and TV) and 26 years in electronics manufacturing. During the last 40 years John has repaired almost all makes of vintage guitar amplifiers and has constructed several classic British styled guitar amps.

We love and cherish vintage guitar amps, and really do treat them like old ladies. Are we bonkers or what!?

VOX amplifiers are treated like family - NO, we don’t kick them out. We think they are fantastic and will give you very competitive repair and restoration prices.

We have a purpose built workshop and can handle all types of repair and servicing requirements. We have a comprehensive stock of common components, and will always endeavour to source non common components through the quickest route
